[NEWS] SM Entertainment to produce Korean drama adaptation of Japan’s “Hana Kimi” 110310; 2 articles, extra information
SM Entertainment will be producing a drama based on the über-popular Japanese comic, “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Hana Kimi)”!
The comic gained widespread success, selling over 17 million copies alone. It had a Taiwanese drama adaptation which recorded the highest viewer ratings in 2006, while its Japanese drama garnered an average of 17.04% in viewer ratings.
Since its widespread popularity reached Korea as well, representatives of SM Entertainment revealed on March 10th that they signed a contract that gave them the publication rights for its drama production.
Using an all boys high school as its backdrop, the original comic ran from 1996 to 2004 and detailed the lives of a group of ‘pretty boys.’
Representatives revealed, “The Korean version will have a total of 16 episodes that draw out stories of hopes and dreams. It’s a teenage comedy with a cute, but strong storyline and a slew of handsome cast members. We’re planning to begin airing it this summer.”

On March 10th, an official from SM Entertainment said, "We will produce the 2011 drama 'Hanazakari no Kimitachi e' (For You in Full Blossom)."

[NEWS] SHINee Taemin releases Good Night Star Call and tells fans to sleep earlier 110307
SHINee's maknae, Taemin, recently released a new video for Good Night Star Call. Star Call is similar to a UFO message and gives celebrities a way to speak and send messages to their fans. In his video message, Taemin tells his fans that it is late at night and gives them advice to sleep earlier for better complexion.
"Everyone it’s already late at night ~ Pretty ladies please sleep more. So sleep earlier, hope that everyone’s complexion will get better, be prettier ya? So this is Maknae Taemin’s message~ it’s getting late so goodnight."
SHINee are currently preparing for their entry in Japan. Their Japanese website has already been opened and has fans wondering if the group will debut with a Japanese version of "Hello." According to EMI Japan, who also have 4minute under their wing, SHINee's debut has been set for the month of March. In addition, SHINee will not be promoted as a Kpop or Jpop group, but as an Asian pop (Apop) group.

[INFO] MTVK Results for ‘Best K-Pop Leader’ 110305
MTV K wrote about the top 10 K-Pop leaders last week with 2NE1′s CL coming in at 10th place and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon coming in first. Super Junior’s Leeteuk was actually at number 5 and TVXQ’s Yunho at number 3 but ELFs and Casseopia brought them up to 1 and 2 in the poll with well over 800,000 votes in all.
